Corruption: A Minister, the former director of CAS and four individuals implicated by judge Morin

Investigating judge Jean Wilner Morin has issued his ruling in the corruption case involving the Social Welfare Fund (CAS). Judge Morin has brought charges against six individuals in this case, including the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), Pierre Odney Ricot, and the former director of CAS, Edwin Tonton. The case has been referred to the criminal court without a jury for further proceedings. Former Mayor of Arcahaie, Rosemila Petit-Frère, has been spared from charges.

A new twist has emerged in the corruption case involving the Social Welfare Fund (CAS). Investigating judge Jean Wilner Morin has pressed charges against six individuals in this CAS corruption scandal. The current Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Pierre Odney Ricot, the former director of CAS, Edwin Tonton, Yvrose Alcide, Pierre Richard Valès, Frantz Iderice, and Johanne Phanord have been referred to the criminal court to be tried without a jury.
